Reading Blue Coat School has a particular philosophy of what constitutes an effective education. This is founded upon the belief that what goes on outside the classroom is just as important as what happens within it. The academic and co-curricular are given equal importance in all aspects of school life, including within the senior management structure with the Academic Director and the Co-Curricular Director responsible for ensuring that pupils maximise their potential in each of these realms of school life.
