On Saturday 6th February 50 Blue Coat rowers raced at Hampton 4s and 8s Head. This is a major event and is raced as a time trial over a two mile course.

The J14s raced in two groups of eight and finished in 16th and 23rd in a strong field. The J15 eight rowed well, although were unlucky off the start line and had steering issues half way through. They beat five other J15 crews in the process. The J16 coxed four performed admirably to produce a respectable result.
The 2nd VIII were third, just behind Hampton and Shiplake; they were only 20 seconds behind the 1st VIII. The 1st VIII were 8th in a competitive field, beating crews from King’s Canterbury and Oundle among others.
