Reading Blue Coat School makes provision for the award of scholarships at the point of entry to the school. These awards are made on merit. That is, they are awarded to selected candidates according to their performance in designated assessments. The value of each award is determined by the Awards Committee and will normally not exceed 25% of the tuition fee, the exception being Foundation Scholarships. The following scholarships may be awarded at the discretion of the Awards Committee: - Foundation Scholarships:
- Academic Scholarships:
- Art Scholarships:
- Music Scholarships:
- Exhibitions:
Scholarship and Exhibitions awards are tenable throughout the career of the scholar provided that he or she meets and maintains the conditions of the award. The award and acceptance of either a scholarship or an award brings with it obligations upon the scholar in respect of his or her commitments and contributions to the School. General and specific conditions are set out in the Terms and Conditions of the individual award. Consideration for the award of a scholarship may be either upon receipt of an application from the individual or by the recommendation of the Headmaster of Reading Blue Coat School. |
