Eating healthily at Blue Coat

Lunches are charged on a termly basis, depending on the number of school days in a term, at £3.00 per day. The menu works on a three week cycle and sample menus can be downloaded from this page. We work hard with our caterers, Sodexo, to provide pupils with a broad choice of healthy and nutritious food.  There is always a selection of hot meat, fish and vegetarian main dishes available, along with a variety of tempting salads as well as jacket potatoes, a pasta bar and a selection of delicious hot and cold desserts and fresh fruits to complete the meal.

The Sixth Form Centre also has its own café, which offers an alternative to main school lunch for sixth form pupils. It serves baguettes, paninis, soups, fruit and snacks. These items are paid for on demand rather than in advance.

The Tuck Shop, serving home made baguettes and pastries, fruit and soft drinks, is open daily between 10.15 a.m. and 10.35 a.m.

Breakfast is available every morning from 8.00 - 8.25 am. Cooked breakfast is available at a basic charge of £1.25 per day. Pupils are welcome to come in to breakfast on any day, and the meal is paid for on demand rather than in advance.
