Pupils travel to Blue Coat from a wide area around Reading, including Ascot, Wokingham, Maidenhead, Marlow, Pangbourne, Tilehurst, Theale, Caversham, Sonning Common, Henley on Thames, Bracknell, Binfield, Crowthorne.

Upper Sixth pupils who have passed their driving test can, with the permission of the Head of Sixth Form, drive to school. Parking is provided through an arrangement with Reading Hockey Club on Sonning Lane, who make a charge for parking on their premises.
